Highlighting 21 students from Grades 7 to 12, who are gearing up for the next stage of the math competition in October
School of the Nations will have twenty-one students representing the institution in the second phase of the 19th edition of the Olimpíada Brasileira de Matemática de Escolas Públicas e Privadas (OBMEP). This competition, one of the most prestigious in the field of mathematics for basic education students, will take place on October 19, 2024. OBMEP is an initiative that aims to stimulate the study of mathematics and identify talents among students from public and private schools across the country.
The students advancing to the next phase are from Levels 1, 2, and 3, corresponding to Grades 6 to 12. The list includes names of students who stood out in the first phase of the competition.

A special mention goes to Joana Lara, a Grade 8 student, who recently received a bronze medal in the 18th edition of OBMEP. Joana, who was also one of the 49 students to receive an honorable mention nationally and a bronze medal at the regional level, is preparing intensely for the second phase.
"I am very proud of myself and this achievement; it shows that all my effort and study were worth it. I am studying hard for the second phase using both the school's materials and those from the competition itself. I appreciate when the school offers these competitions because they give students more opportunities to learn about things beyond our everyday studies."
