Celebrating Excellence in Science and Mathematics Through the OBA and OBMEP Mirim Competitions
In 2024, our Elementary School students demonstrated exceptional skills and dedication in two renowned national academic competitions: the Brazilian Astronomy and Astronautics Olympiad (OBA) and the Brazilian Math Olympiad for Elementary School (OBMEP Mirim). Collectively, they earned an impressive 44 medals across gold, silver, and bronze categories, highlighting their commitment to academic excellence.
OBA 2024 Results
Held on May 17, the 27th edition of OBA invited students from Grades 2 to 5 to explore the wonders of science and astronomy. The results, announced in December, showcased the achievements of four medalists:
Gold Medal: Gabriel Guerreiro Silveira Leite
Silver Medal: Isabel Roamanini Pacheco Viotti
Bronze Medals: Bernardo Bracarense Amaral; Cesar Almeida Chiverton
OBA aims to spark curiosity and foster a love for science among young learners, making it a valuable opportunity for students to challenge themselves academically.
OBMEP Mirim 2024 Results
Organized by the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA) with the support of the Brazilian Mathematical Society (SBM), OBMEP Mirim celebrates mathematical talent among younger students. This year, our participants achieved a historic milestone with 40 medals—the highest number ever received by our school in Elementary School.

These competitions provide students with opportunities to excel academically and gain valuable experiences in collaborative and competitive environments.
To celebrate these achievements, we held an Academic Award Ceremony during the last week of classes, with the presence of students, families, and staff. It was a special moment to honor our students and recognize their efforts.
Congratulations to all participants and medalists for representing our school with such distinction and for embodying the values of curiosity, perseverance, and excellence!
