A morning full of activities, learning, and fun marks the beginning of the school year with great energy.
Community Building Day, the annual event at the School of the Nations, once again reinforced the spirit of unity that characterizes our institution. Held at our main campus on Saturday, August 17, this year's gathering brought together over 500 members of the Nations community, including staff, students, and their families, for a morning filled with activities for all ages.
Children from Early Childhood and Elementary participated in a variety of workshops, including ceramics, activities at the Criart Studio and Creative Lab, a circus workshop, as well as challenges in gymnastics, cheerleading, yoga, parkour, and basketball. They were also introduced to the world of robotics and practiced soccer through the Soccer for Fun project!
For students in Middle School and High School, the event offered equally enriching activities, such as beach tennis, ceramics, robotics workshops, bookmark creation, as well as a circus workshop, and the Soccer for the Fun project.
A highlight of the day was the second edition of the Nations Open Chess Tournament, which brought together students of different ages together in a chess competition. The winners of each match were awarded medals.
To close the event, we celebrated with a musical moment where everyone came together to sing and mark the conclusion of another successful Community Building Day. This gathering, in addition to marking the start of the school year, was essential in creating a welcoming environment, especially for the new families beginning their journey at the School of the Nations.
