The play "Addams Family" culminated students’ hard work and the valuable lessons they learned throughout the year in their Theater and Music classes
June 2 marked a momentous day for Grade 9 students as they presented their highly anticipated end-of-year show at the Teatro Unip Asa Sul. The curtains rose to their captivating performance of the “Addams Family,” adapted by Andrew Lippa. This unforgettable theatrical production, combined with the outstanding performance of our Nations Marching Band, left the audience spellbound.
The play culminated students’ hard work and the valuable lessons they learned throughout the year in their Theater and Music classes. Under the expert guidance of Nations Arts Department, students brought their characters to life and delivered a stellar performance.
The production involved students who took on leading roles as well as those working tirelessly behind the scenes. Students who excelled as makeup artists, lighting technicians, scriptwriters, photographers, costume designers and other essential talents made up the backstage crew.
The unwavering commitment of our Drama teacher, Ms. Raphaela Reis, and Music teacher, Mr. Jansiley Ferreira, played a crucial role in students’ triumph and the success of their production. Their expertise and dedication created an environment where creativity and artistic expression thrived.
The end-of-year show highlighted students’ artistic talents and the importance of collaboration, teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence. It served as a testament to the transformative power of arts education, allowing students to discover their creativity, develop skills, and build self-confidence.
We applaud our future Grade 10 students and express our immense pride in their accomplishments!
