Among the contested categories, Nations' athletes secure seven trophies in the championship
From March 15 to 17, Nations witnessed exciting matches during the Nations Soccer Cup, a tournament that brought together notable talents from soccer and futsal. Competing across various categories, the Cougars' athletes faced opponents from three schools in the Federal District — American School of Brasília, Colégio Marista, and the Escola Francesa — in addition to prestigious teams like Boca Juniors, Real Madrid, and DC Sports.
Futsal: A Golden Performance
In futsal, the under-18 teams from Nations showcased incredible skill and strategy, winning two gold medals. The girls’ team stood out by defeating Marista in the grand final, while the boys’ team triumphed over Real Madrid, cementing their position at the top of the podium.
Soccer: younger talents
On the soccer field, the young athletes from the under-9 to under-12 categories followed suit, bringing home two gold and three silver trophies. In the under-12 category, an exhilarating confrontation with Real Madrid ended in victory for the Cougars, who proudly raised the gold medal. Notably, the under-9 athletes also reached first place, demonstrating the breadth of the Cougars' talent. In the under-10 and under-11 categories, the teams excelled by securing two silver medals and one gold.
Countdown to the Next Matches
With the first phase of the competition concluded, anticipation already turns to the next challenge. On April 12, 13, and 14, at the main campus, School of the Nations will host the second round of matches for the Nations Soccer Cup. Athletes, families, and sports enthusiasts are invited to come together once again to support the Cougars in their quest for more victories and memorable moments.
