Cougars Participate in the Friendship Festival

Tournament promotes values of teamwork and sportsmanship.

From May 16 to 20, the boys' and girls' basketball, volleyball, and soccer teams from Middle School participated in the Friendship Festival. Athletes from all sports at Nations took part in the tournament, which promotes the values of teamwork and effort in friendly competition.

This tournament, which does not have a podium, aims to teach athletes more than just sports techniques. The focus is on learning values such as teamwork, dedication, and understanding that winning is not always the most important thing.

A total of eighty-five students from Grades 6 to 8 participated in the event, playing friendly matches with American and international schools from various Brazilian states. They returned with participation medals, celebrating the experience and the knowledge gained.

The festival is a preview of what Middle School students will face in the International Schools Sports League (ISSL) championship during High School. In the coming years, they will return to NR Camp to participate in their first competitive tournament for the school, with the opportunity to win a title and bring a trophy to the school.

We congratulate all the students for their participation and can’t wait to see them shining in their upcoming years as athletes. We are eager to see the great athletes they will become!
