Every year Grade 9 students take a trip during the second semester to celebrate their completion of one phase of their studies and their transition into high school. The trip offers a chance for students to learn outside the classroom and to dive into a different culture through fun and enriching learning experiences.
On May 3, 2017, students went on a journey to Pantanal and Bonito, where they spent the week learning, having fun, strengthening their friendships, and making new ones as they visited these beautiful places.
They took a four-hour trip to the city of Bonito, went on a boat ride, explored caves, did some abseiling, swam under some astonishing waterfalls, and saw crystal clear rivers and some amazing stalactites. Along the way, they saw snakes, capybaras, blue macaws, alligators, and hawks.
Assistant Secondary School Principal, Mr. Valmir Gomes, said, “Going to Bonito and the Pantanal with Grade 9 students I saw just how special they are. Being with them revitalizes you and renews your faith in the future.”
Throughout their trip, students received compliments for their caring attitudes, manners, and curiosity. It was certainly a graduation trip they will remember.
